Answer (Question 5) : There are no real rules to go by. All illustrators and authors are unique, and all kinds of people are book creators. My advice though would be to: Write and illustrate lots ! Be open to what is around you Be original Believe in yourself Write/draw truthfully from your own experience/imagination Learn how to use other peoples criticism to your advantage. Dont give up or get disheartened if you dont always get rewarded by other people for what you write or draw. It doesnt always mean it is not good. It may be VERY good!
