Baptism
Baptism is the first sacrament by which we become members of the
Church. For Baptism we have a short time for preparation. It consists
of one meeting with others who are also seeking to have their children
baptised. We try to keep these times punctual because of the demands
of children and babies. We would appreciate the parents and god
parents to attend. It gives us the opportunity to meet together, to
look at some of the commitments that we are making, the role of the
godparents, and some of the practicalities of the ceremony.
Baptism is the first sacrament of initiation into the Church. It
is important that there be some formal introduction into the
Community. One Sunday each month is set aside for the official
presentation of those to be baptised and this is done at the regular Sunday
Mass.
Preparation - Second Monday of each month from 7.00 pm
to 8.00 pm
Presentation of Candidates - Third Sunday of each month
Baptism ceremony - First Sunday of each month at 11.30
