SAVGA 2007 TROPHY WINNERS

The South Australian Veteran Golfer'sAssn. caters for all golfers who belong to a recognised golf club, and wish to partake in regular competitions played on golf courses around the city and near country towns. To join members must have reached the age of 55. The joining fee is $5.00, and yearly membership is $10.00. Any member may be nominated for any position on the committee, and voting takes place at the annual general meeting. All games are 'shot-gun starts', where members must report to the starter 30 minutes before hit-off time, which is, on most occasions, 9.00am. Competition is in three grades. "A" handicap 1-16; "B" 17-21; "C" 22-32. In addition there are nearest the pin holes. All cards are returned to each member's club, for re-handicapping, if necessary.

DRESS RULES
STEEL SPIKED GOLF SHOES ARE BANNED at all events run by the Metro Division of the SAVGA. Members of the South Australian Veteran Golfers Association Inc. are required to observe the dress rules of any club at which a SAVGA competition is being played.

IN GENERAL
All members should present themselves neatly and suitably attired both on the course and in the clubhouse. Shorts (not sports, tennis abbreviated or boxer shorts) may be worn by men either with plain white sports socks (Colour stripes, logos or advertising motifs are not permitted) or with knee length " walk" socks. Bermuda shorts and tailored slacks worn by women are permitted. All clothing including footwear and hats must be clean and neat and tidy and worn in the appropriate manner and must not display offensive or ostentatious slogans or advertising motifs. Exclusions. Track / Leisure suits and the like, abbreviated and boxer shorts T-shirts, singlets and tank shirts, collarless shirts for men, thongs, ripple soles or basketball style shoes are not permitted in the Clubhouse or on the course

GREAT TROPHIES
.
A great prize to win is the 'Pete's Championship', best 6 of 12 S.A.V.G.A. Stableford events from April 2008 to November 2008 (incl). Any "Tie" to be decided by 18 Hole Play-Off- date and venue to be decided by Veteran's Match Committee.
Winner will receive a set of GOLF CLUBS from Pete's Golf.
