RECOGNIZED ORDERS

Freemasonry consists of the three 'Craft' degrees (Entered Apprentice, Fellow Craft and Master Mason). The many other Masonic degrees and Orders are not basic to Freemasonry but add to it, further expounding and illustrating the principles stated in the Craft. Some of these additional degrees are numerically superior to the third degree but they are not in anyway superior to or higher than the Craft.

The Constitution of the Grand Lodge of South Australia and Northern Territory states:

"The Association shall practice no Degree of Freemasonry but those of Entered Apprentice, Fellow Craft, and Master Mason, and recognise no other Degrees, save those of the Honourable Degree of Mark Master Mason, and the Supreme Order of the Holy Royal Arch."
