A bit of a challenge if ever we had one. This VT 'Clubby' already had a few handy bolt on modifications in place when we first got it. Along with headers, full twin system, it also had a ported MAF, which gave it lean fuel mixtures. Combine this with the advanced timing of the HSV PCM programming, and we had our work cut out for us. The dyno graph only tells part of the story though, with the removal of intrusive torque management and improved transmission response totally invisible on a power test. Can HSVs stock effort be improved on? Yes!
