When HSV canned the HRT 427 Coupe they left 50 deposit holders without a dream. Some took it on the chin, and others built their own. This particular car, a brand new GTS Coupe was taken straight off the showroom floor, equipped with a clutch, upgraded diff, full CAPA exhaust system, and an intercooled 5psi Vortech supercharger kit. The aim was for 427kw at the crankshaft, with complete reliability and emission compliance. Bet the factory 427 was never going to make this much power!
