I am a retired electronics engineer living in an ordinary suburban home and no longer a chicken .
As a hobby I took up making jewellery, cutting cabochons and faceting gemstones with local clubs.   As a result I get to make and repair all the family jewellery (not that shown on the web pages) and am the adviser and repairer to all friends and aquaintances.
 As a natural extension then I studied for the Diploma in Gemmology and eventually joined the S.A. Division as a Fellow and am serving on the Council.    Making some of the simpler gemmological instruments is also a pastime when I get time!!!!
Apart from that I have adopted the computer (hence these dreadful web pages) and have produced a great heap of minutes, posters, cards and tickets for the GAA, the local Uniting Church, Neighbour Watch etc.
Whoa! - life is busy in retirement -that hoary old one- how did we ever get time to go to work .
